The Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program can help with costs associated with heating your home.
This program is open to income-eligible Alaska Native and American Indian households within the Tribe’s service area, including Cooper Landing, Sterling, Soldotna, Kenai, Nikiski, and Kasilof.
The Energy Assistance Program may help cover expenses such as:
- A portion of the utility bill to heat your home;
- Propane bottle;
- Wood bundles;
- Space heaters, sleeping bags, blankets;
- Payments to prevent shut-offs or reconnect service;
- Emergency housing.
