Behavioral Health services available at Chuq’eya Qenq’a, Birch Tree House, on the Dena’ina Wellness Center campus include individual and family therapy, interactive play therapy for children, crisis intervention and access to other therapeutic groups.
Care is provided in a culturally relevant environment incorporating traditional activities. We work with adults, adolescents and children of all backgrounds.
We offer services to encourage sobriety, including early intervention, outpatient treatment and continuing care. Staff members focus on cultural and family strengths to promote abstinence and recovery.
Our Behavioral Health services are available to Kenaitze Tribal Members, Alaska Native and American Indian people, and community members as funding allows. Referrals to other Tribal programs and local agencies may be included as part of a treatment plan.

CARF International has accredited our integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care services; our outpatient Behavioral Health services programs for adults, children and adolescents, which includes substance use disorder treatment for adults; and the services provided through the joint-jurisdictional therapeutic Henu Community Wellness Court.
