Many Behavioral Health services are available at the Dena’ina Wellness Center, including individual and family therapy, interactive play therapy for children, crisis intervention and access to other therapeutic groups. Care is provided in a culturally relevant environment incorporating traditional activities, and we work with adults, adolescents and children of all backgrounds.
Our Behavioral Health services are open to Alaska Native and American Indian people as well as the general community. Referrals to other tribal programs and local agencies can be included as part of treatment plans as well. Behavioral Health services include:

- Individual, group and family psychotherapy/counseling
- Psychiatric assessment and medication management
- Supervised individual urine analysis (UA)
- Sobriety support activities
- Arts and crafts
- Interactive play therapy
- Individual service providers for youth in local schools
- Youth Summer Program
- Transition/discharge planning
CARF International has accredited our integrated comprehensive Behavioral Health and Primary Care for adults; integrated outpatient treatment for alcohol and other drugs for adults, children and adolescents; and integrated court treatment for adults for alcohol and other drugs programs.
