In accordance with our constitution, by-laws, ordinances and resolutions, the Kenaitze Indian Tribe is governed by a seven-member Tribal Council. Council members are elected by voting tribal members at an annual meeting every October, serving staggered terms.
The Council appoints an Executive Director to manage the tribe’s day-to-day operations and a Chief Judge to oversee Tribal Court and uphold tribal laws. It consists of a chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, treasurer and three general members.
