In accordance with our constitution, by-laws, ordinances and resolutions, the Kenaitze Indian Tribe is governed by a seven-member Tribal Council. Council Members are elected by voting Tribal Members at an annual meeting every October, and serve staggered two-year terms.
The Council hires an Executive Director of Tribal Administration to manage the Tribe’s day-to-day operations and a Chief Judge to oversee Tribal Court and uphold Tribal laws.
