Dr. Zook provides holistic health care at the Dena’ina Wellness Center, including acute and chronic illness management, disease prevention, and health education.
Dr. Zook finds great fulfillment when she is able to empower her un’ina, “those who come to us,” to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves, which in turn lead to positive changes and outcomes.
Dr. Zook graduated from Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has 25 years of experience as a primary care provider.
Dr. Zook was inspired to serve the community and pursue a career in the medical field by her mother, who was the first physician in her tribe. She has mentored many healthcare professionals throughout her career, including new graduates.
Dr. Zook and her husband Ron have two grown children. When she’s not serving un’ina, she enjoys traveling and hiking. She looks forward to exploring the Kenai Peninsula and adding fishing to her favorite activities.
