Alyssa provides chemical dependency counseling services in individual and group settings, as well as assessments and traditional Dena’ina activities. She is grateful for the opportunity to make a positive change in her community. She finds it rewarding to build trust and meaningful connections with people seeking support.
Alyssa is a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor 1. She earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. She is pursuing a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling.
A passion for social justice and advocacy inspired Alyssa to pursue a career in behavioral health. Alyssa is a Kenaitze Tribal Member and is honored to be able to work with Alaska Native and American Indian people, and to give back to her community.
Alyssa is proud to have created an intervention group based in traditional Dena’ina culture, and to share Dena’ina culture and traditions with the community.
When not serving un’ina, Alyssa enjoys reading, gardening, ice skating, and crocheting.
