The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is currently nominating individuals to interview with Exp U.S. Energy Services, which is seeking Cultural Resource Advisors for the 2015 summer season. Advisors will act as a liaison with tribal councils, Native villages and Native corporations on the progress of cultural resource surveys conducted by the Alaska LNG Project. Pay is $25-35/hour depending on experience, and work runs from May 1 to Sept. 30. Training will be provided in March or April. Applicants must be vetted and recommended by Regional and Village representatives; preference will be given to village and corporation shareholders. Kenaitze Indian Tribe has a variety of programs to help individuals achieve success in the academic and work environments. These programs offer a full range of services designed to strengthen 
the economic wellbeing of our Tribal members and our community through the creation of jobs, education and training opportunities.

 

Kahtnuht’ana Dena’ina Values include Education: "passing down cultural knowledge and traditions and supporting formal education." As such, we are pleased to announce our Tribal Membership Scholarship Fund to assist Tribal members pursuing higher education. The Tribal Council has designated $250,000 to provide financial support to Tribal members enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college, university or trade school. Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Higher Education Program provides funds to individuals enrolled or accepted to a four-year college or university, based on need. Student housing funds are also available for qualified applicants.

 

Kenaitze Indian Tribe also offers funds toward vocational and on-the-job training, as well as assistance with resume writing, job referrals, career assessments, job listing and job search skills. In addition, funds are available for those who have gained employment and need assistance with work clothes and basic needs until their first paycheck arrives.
